Crypto.com adds MATIC, USDC, and DAI in its Pay platform

Crypto.com expands Pay support, adds more countries and Tokens

Crypto.com, a Singaporean cryptocurrency exchange, has rolled out an update to its decentralized finance (DeFi) wallet service, enhancing its support for fiat-to-crypto purchases across additional countries and introducing three new tokens.

On May 16, Crypto.com announced the inclusion of Polygon, USD Coin, and Dai to its Crypto.com Pay platform. This fiat-to-crypto on-ramp service allows users to purchase cryptocurrencies using credit or debit cards. These new additions join Bitcoin, Ether, and Crypto.com’s native CRO token as the currently available options for Pay transactions. Additionally, Crypto.com now enables the purchase of CRO on either the Cronos blockchain or the Ethereum network, with plans to incorporate more tokens in the near future.

To further expand its services, Crypto.com has broadened its support for Pay transactions to reach a total of 108 countries. Customers can now conveniently purchase cryptocurrencies directly within the company’s DeFi wallet application, making the process more accessible.

In its latest update, Crypto.com has also streamlined the Pay interface, allowing users to complete purchases with fewer taps. The enhanced user experience aims to simplify the process of buying cryptocurrencies through the platform.

Recognizing the potential of artificial intelligence (AI) in the cryptocurrency industry, Crypto.com’s Vice President, Abhi Bisarya, expressed optimism regarding the integration of AI technologies. The company has recently introduced a virtual assistant powered by the GPT API, making it one of the early adopters of ChatGPT technology among cryptocurrency exchanges. While Crypto.com plans to test the AI assistant through a pilot program, user feedback will play a crucial role in its further development.

Embracing the AI trend, numerous businesses in the crypto and blockchain sectors are exploring its applications. Web3 company BlockGPT, for instance, launched a “chat-to-earn” initiative, allowing users of its BEP-20 token platform to earn rewards by engaging with AI models similar to ChatGPT. Binance, a leading cryptocurrency exchange, has also introduced its own AI-powered offering called “Sensei.” Integrated into the company’s consumer learning academy, Sensei serves as a virtual educational assistant.

With its recent updates, Crypto.com continues to enhance its Pay service, providing users with an expanded range of tokens and increased accessibility across more countries. The integration of AI technology and the company’s commitment to user feedback demonstrate its dedication to delivering innovative and user-friendly solutions within the cryptocurrency ecosystem.
