In a groundbreaking collaboration, online art marketplace Avante Art and CryptoPunks brand owner Yuga Labs have rolled out a 48-hour sale of physical prints for CryptoPunk NFT (Non-Fungible Token) holders. This initiative, which kick-started on October 26, is slated to bolster the tangible essence of digital collectibles.
The sale is segmented into two unique collections: “Punk-On-Chain” and “10,000 On-Chain.” The former is a bespoke offering for current CryptoPunk holders, allowing them to commission a physical print of their digital asset. This collection mandates users to validate their ownership to procure a print. Conversely, the “10,000 On-Chain” collection is an open invitation for all, offering a print version of any of the 10,000 CryptoPunks, even to those who don’t own the original digital version.
These physical collections manifest distinctive characteristics. The “10,000 On-Chain” prints are crafted as Archival pigment prints with a silkscreen varnish seal, while the “Punks-On-Chain” prints are UV pigment prints with white underpins. Both versions are adorned with a Yuga Labs holographic sticker affirming their authenticity, bridging the digital and physical realms.
Moreover, a QR code on the back of the “Punks-On-Chain” prints links to a blockchain-based digital Certificate of Authenticity (CoA). Meanwhile, the “10,000 On-Chain” pieces ship with a physical CoA containing a QR code that leads to the digital CoA, although this QR code is not present on the print itself.
This endeavor is a nod to the escalating narrative of NFTs and digital art, extending a fresh avenue for collectors and enthusiasts. By transmuting digital assets into physical prints, Avante Art and Yuga Labs are nurturing a burgeoning crossover between the digital and tangible art landscapes.
