A report by Aspen Digital reveals that 76% of Asian private wealth has engaged with digital assets, with 18% planning future investments. This marks a significant increase from 58% recorded in a 2022 survey. The survey involved 80 family offices and high-net-worth individuals managing assets between $10 million and $500 million. Among those already invested in cryptocurrency, 70% hold less than 5% of their portfolios in digital assets, with some increasing allocations to over 10% in 2024. Interest is particularly strong in decentralized finance (DeFi), with two-thirds expressing enthusiasm, and 31% predicting Bitcoin could reach $100,000 by year-end. The approval of spot Bitcoin ETFs has further fueled this interest, with 53% of respondents gaining exposure through such funds. This trend is consistent with a rise in crypto exposure reported among hedge funds globally, increasing from 29% in 2023 to 47% in 2024, aided by regulatory clarity and new ETF launches in the U.S. and Asia.
