Ankr, a Web3 infrastructure platform, has integrated The Open Network (TON) blockchain, enabling developers to create decentralized applications (DApps) for Telegram users. This integration eliminates hours of development by simplifying the setup of nodes on TON. Popular DApps utilizing TON include Telegram Mini Apps like Hamster Kombat, which has attracted over 300 million players within a few months. Ankr will provide remote procedure call (RPC) connections, facilitating interaction with the TON network for executing transactions, fetching wallet balances, and retrieving ownership details, all supported by a global network of blockchain nodes for low latency. Chandler Song, co-founder and CEO of Ankr, expressed enthusiasm about the potential for innovative functionalities as barriers to building are removed. Additionally, the TON blockchain offers its own RPC services for developers, while Ankr’s integration alleviates node management challenges. The Open Network Foundation has chosen Axelar’s Mobius Development Stack to help developers build DApps across multiple blockchains, expediting the development of TON-based applications, particularly in gaming.
