Singapore-based cloud Bitcoin miner BitFuFu has signed a two-year agreement with mining hardware giant Bitmain to purchase up to 80,000 Bitcoin miners, including the latest S-series models such as the S21 XP and S21 Pro. This deal allows for flexible payment terms and aims to enhance BitFuFu's mining operations and cloud-mining services. CEO Leo Lu expressed that the partnership with Bitmain will support the expansion of their mining infrastructure globally, with plans to add 1 gigawatt of capacity by 2026. The agreement comes as BitFuFu, which has previously received investment from Bitmain, aims to further diversify its infrastructure, having recently acquired an 80-megawatt mining facility in Ethiopia. Following the announcement, BitFuFu's shares surged by 13%, reaching $5.60. The firm currently manages a hosting capacity of 556 megawatts, holds 1,664 BTC worth about $161 million, and services over 450,000 registered users.
