Bitwise Acquires Attestant in Expanding Ethereum Staking Push
Bitwise Asset Management has acquired staking firm Attestant Limited, enabling the company to enhance its offerings in Ethereum staking, a growing trend among digital asset investors. With approximately $3.7 billion in staked ETH under Attestant's management, this acquisition aims to develop Bitwise OS, a new on-chain product suite. The suite will feature professional non-custodial staking services, hedge fund services, and exchange-traded products (ETPs), catering to investor needs in the staking space. Currently managing over $10 billion in client assets, Bitwise emphasizes its commitment to broadening investor options as staking rewards gain popularity despite Ethereum's volatile price. As of now, around 35 million ETH, valued over $100 billion, have been staked across various platforms. Bitwise is also launching a staking-focused ETP for the Aptos network, set to debut on November 19, 2024. This strategic move highlights the increasing relevance of staking in digital asset management and investment strategies.
