BlackRock Bitcoin ETF sees 'biggest volume day ever' with $4.1B traded
BlackRock’s Bitcoin ETF (iShares Bitcoin Trust) recorded an unprecedented trading day with over $4.1 billion traded on November 6, coinciding with Donald Trump's reelection as President of the United States. According to Bloomberg ETF analyst Eric Balchunas, this volume surpassed that of notable stocks like Berkshire Hathaway, Netflix, and Visa. Bitcoin hit a new all-time high of $76,500 on the same day, although it retraced slightly to $75,267 by the time of publication. This surge in trading occurred alongside significant bullish sentiment for Bitcoin, attributed to Trump’s pro-crypto policies. Furthermore, other Bitcoin ETFs also enjoyed heightened trading volumes, doubling their averages. Analysts predict continued momentum for Bitcoin, with some suggesting a price of $100,000 could be achievable by January 20, coinciding with Trump’s inauguration.
