Blockstream has introduced two institutional investment funds to meet growing demand for high-yield Bitcoin funds. The Blockstream Income Fund offers US dollar-denominated yield by leveraging Bitcoin collateral for loans ranging from $100,000 to $5 million. The Blockstream Alpha Fund, which focuses on portfolio growth, targets revenue from infrastructure operations, such as Lightning Network node management. Both funds are set to launch in the first quarter of 2025, signaling Blockstream’s commitment to expanding its investment offerings in the Bitcoin ecosystem. The move aligns with the current bullish sentiment around Bitcoin, further fueled by the net inflows into Bitcoin exchange-traded funds (ETFs) that recently exceeded $120 billion. This surge in institutional interest follows pivotal events, including the election of US President Donald Trump, whose administration analysts believe may provide clearer regulatory frameworks for cryptocurrency, thereby enhancing institutional adoption.
