Bitcoin (BTC) has reached a new all-time high against the euro, recording a historic peak of €67,987 on Binance on October 29. This rise follows a prolonged period of consolidation, breaking a ceiling established in March. Analysts noted that this achievement marks significant progress for Bitcoin in Europe, particularly as various major world currencies are hitting all-time lows against Bitcoin. The eurozone's relationship with Bitcoin has been marked by hostility, especially following recent critical reports from the European Central Bank (ECB). Bitcoin is now eyeing a breakthrough against gold, which recently set a new all-time high of $2,789.85 per ounce. Veteran trader Peter Brandt pointed out that while Bitcoin has made strides against fiat currencies, it struggles to surpass historical resistance levels against gold, highlighting the competitive landscape in its quest for value preservation against traditional assets.
