Coinbase, a major cryptocurrency exchange, has expressed its readiness to collaborate with whichever candidate wins the U.S. presidency, whether it be Democratic Vice President Kamala Harris or Republican Donald Trump. In its recent shareholder letter, Coinbase emphasized its commitment to advancing pro-crypto legislation as the new Congress sessions approach in January 2025. The company highlighted a notable shift in bipartisan support for crypto among politicians since past years, especially in light of recent legislative successes despite opposition from the White House. CEO Brian Armstrong further indicated optimism towards the next administration's potential support for the crypto industry, stating that the company plans to contribute an additional $25 million to the Fairshake PAC for pro-crypto candidates in the upcoming 2026 midterms. Armstrong has personally supported various candidates, further signifying Coinbase's active role in shaping political support for cryptocurrency policies.
