Boerse Stuttgart Digital has been awarded a MiCA crypto asset service provider license by the German regulator BaFin, allowing it to operate across the European Union. This license enables the exchange to expand its services for financial institutions within Europe. The MiCA regulations, which came into effect on December 30, require crypto asset service providers to secure licenses for operation within the 27-member bloc. The granting of this license enhances Germany's competitiveness in the European crypto market, as companies now no longer need to obtain separate licenses for each country. Boerse Stuttgart Digital joins other entities like MoonPay and BitStaete, which obtained similar licenses from the Dutch Authority for the Financial Markets in December, aiming to broaden their service offerings following the implementation of MiCA legislation.
