Crypto set for ‘dozens of smaller victories’ in 2025: Grayscale exec
Zach Pandl from Grayscale anticipates an increase in crypto interest from pension and endowment fund managers who have previously overlooked the industry. Following significant victories in 2024, such as the approval of spot crypto exchange-traded funds and Donald Trump’s election win, Pandl predicts 2025 will witness numerous smaller victories. He expects these victories to stem from greater institutional adoption, enhanced legislative action from Congress, and the possibility of Bitcoin becoming a US reserve asset. Pandl stated that some portfolio managers are beginning to allocate up to 5% of their investments in crypto. Furthermore, he highlighted the potential for institutional investment in Ethereum and other digital assets, including decentralized finance and AI tokens. Pandl's comments come amidst a broader trend of increasing engagement from sovereign wealth funds and institutional investors in the crypto space, signaling a shift in adoption dynamics.
