DIA has introduced the testnet for Lumina, a new modular oracle infrastructure designed to enhance transparency, scalability, and integration flexibility. Lumina addresses prevalent issues with existing oracle solutions, permitting data aggregation, verification, and delivery across various blockchains. Unlike other oracles, Lumina supports multiple messaging protocols, non-EVM chain compatibility, and full data traceability. Users can follow the complete data journey from source to final price calculation, fostering trust in data accuracy. The testnet, which limits participation, precedes the mainnet launch scheduled for Q1 2025, which will be fully permissionless, allowing new chains and assets to integrate seamlessly without DIA's intervention. Lumina is optimized for Ethereum rollups but also supports non-EVM ecosystems like Cosmos. It operates using a cross-chain messaging protocol and accommodates both push and pull data delivery models, catering to diverse user preferences.
