Dogecoin Down 23% This Week as Bitcoin and XRP Stumble After Surges
Dogecoin has experienced a significant decline of 23% over the past week, following a general downturn in cryptocurrency prices after recent gains. Currently priced at $0.31, Dogecoin saw a nearly 5% decrease on the day and reached a low of $0.267, the lowest price in more than a month. Despite being up 233% over the past year, it has lost momentum since hitting a three-year high of $0.48 earlier this month. Bitcoin has also faced a 12% drop in the last five days after peaking above $108,000, while XRP is down 9% from a recent high. Other meme coins have fared worse, with some rival coins like WIF and FLOKI experiencing even steeper declines. The volatility of meme coins like Dogecoin is well-known, and this week, no major cryptocurrency in the top 10 saw a worse drop than Dogecoin.
