Dogecoin Dumps as Elon Musk's DOGE Agency Website Removes Meme Imagery
Dogecoin is facing a decline following a brief surge on Tuesday, triggered by the removal of the iconic Doge meme from the website of Elon Musk's DOGE agency initiative. Previously, Dogecoin's price peaked at $0.385 after fans noticed the change. However, it has since fallen around 6% to roughly $0.359, marking it as the biggest loser among the top cryptocurrencies. The agency aims to streamline government functions and was associated with Musk, who was to co-lead it alongside Vivek Ramaswamy. Musk's connection to Dogecoin has historically influenced its price, and the absence of meme imagery marks a significant shift. The price movement follows a recent downturn when Dogecoin dropped following the launch of a new rival meme coin, TRUMP, which is currently priced at $38.50 and down 2% for the day.
