While Bitcoin approaches the $100,000 milestone, altcoins like XRP and others have shown even more significant gains. XRP's price surged by 31% to $1.47 following the announcement of SEC Chair Gary Gensler's upcoming departure, making it the best-performing asset among the top 100 cryptocurrencies. Additionally, other coins such as Stellar and Chainlink are experiencing notable increases, with Stellar up 28% and Chainlink rising by 22%. Despite these gains, most altcoins remain significantly lower than their all-time highs, some by up to 90%.
