A recent survey conducted by ETF.com revealed that retail investors have minimal interest in cryptocurrency and ESG ETFs over the next six months. Between 70% to 80% of respondents reported no holdings in leveraged, inverse, or cryptocurrency ETFs, and only 10% of advisers increased their exposure to crypto in the past six months. Furthermore, a mere 7.4% of investors considered cryptocurrency among their top five sectors for investment. Gavin Filmore, a chief revenue officer, attributed this lack of interest to potential 'crypto fatigue' among younger investors. The survey gathered insights from over 600 respondents between August 15 and October 1. However, significant developments in the crypto space, including Donald Trump's election wins and a surge in bitcoin prices nearing $90,000, might alter sentiments moving forward. The growth of US spot bitcoin ETFs, which recently experienced $1.1 billion in net inflows, could also impact future investment behaviors. Observers are curious to see how these changes will affect Vanguard's stance on cryptocurrency investments.
