The Ethena Foundation has approved a proposal from Wintermute to share a portion of its decentralized finance (DeFi) revenues with holders of the ENA token. The decision, confirmed in the governance forum on November 15, aims to allocate part of Ethena's fee revenue to ENA stakers. Ethena is expected to finalize the parameters for fee switch activation by November 30, with further details on implementation to follow. Launched in April, ENA can be staked for sENA, but prior to this proposal, it lacked a clear value accrual mechanism. The foundation noted that Ethena's Protocol has generated substantial real revenue, indicating a strong level of interest in the platform. Ethena Labs recently introduced an interest-earning stablecoin, USDe, which has seen its circulating supply rise to nearly $3.2 billion since its launch, further establishing the platform's presence in the market.
