Eric Conner, a notable core developer of Ethereum, has left the ecosystem after nearly 11 years. His departure follows Vitalik Buterin's dismissal of proposals for a leadership change within the Ethereum Foundation, which oversees the blockchain's development. Conner, who was instrumental in the creation of EIP-1559, the key change in Ethereum's transaction fee structure, announced that he is joining the AI-focused network Fresya.AI. Buterin has faced rising calls for a shift in leadership, with critics suggesting that the network has deviated from its original mission. Amidst these tensions, he stated his intention to establish a board for the foundation, but until that happens, he remains the leader. The Ethereum network is also preparing to launch an update aimed at enhancing speed and efficiency by March.
