Finnish Police Seize Luxury Watches Worth $2.6 Million From Hex Founder Richard Heart
Finnish police have seized over $2.6 million worth of luxury watches from Hex founder Richard Shueler, known as Richard Heart, who is currently wanted for tax evasion. The seizure, which included 20 luxury watches mostly from Rolex, occurred at a residence in Espoo. The total value of the confiscated items was cited as $2.68 million. Shueler is under investigation by the U.S. Securities and Exchange Commission (SEC) for potential securities violations related to his cryptocurrency token, Hex, which has seen a steep decline in value. He is also accused of misusing $12 million on luxury items and facing serious accusations including assault. The police located the watches through intelligence services, including tracking their purchase history in both Finland and the United States. As legal troubles mount, the SEC complaint suggests that Hex may qualify as an unregistered security, raising further compliance questions.
