Once a leading tap-to-earn game on Telegram, Hamster Kombat has experienced a dramatic decline in its user base, plummeting from 300 million users in August to just 41 million active monthly players by November 5, marking an 86% decrease. This drop is attributed to political backlash, bans, and rising competition, notably from the newly launched Paws Mini App, which gained 20.5 million users within its first eight days. Despite peak active addresses of around 772,330 in late September, participation and token interest have significantly waned, with the HMSTR token price dropping nearly 70% from its all-time high of $0.01. Hamster Kombat's active user ratio has dipped to a 30-day low of 0.34%, despite an increase in total wallets holding the token, reaching 3.5 million. In response to the decline, the Hamster Kombat team announced an upcoming Season 2 to rejuvenate player interest. Conversely, the Paws Mini App has rapidly gained traction on Telegram, with over 10 million wallets connected in just two days, indicating a strong competitive rise.
