The Hashgraph Association has formed a partnership with Taurus to improve the secure custody, staking, and tokenization of HBAR, Hedera's cryptocurrency. This collaboration will focus on enhancing accessibility for financial institutions across Europe, Asia, the Middle East, and Africa. Kamal Youssefi, president of the Hashgraph Association, highlighted the regulatory advantages in Europe due to the MiCA framework, which reduces uncertainty compared to markets like the US. The initiative will help both individuals and corporations engage more confidently with the Hedera ecosystem. The partnership also seeks to address the complexities of tokenizing real-world assets by developing frameworks to mitigate risks associated with ownership and legal protections. In 2024, the Hashgraph Association plans to work on five digital asset use cases in Qatar, including tokenized equities and sustainability initiatives.
