Apple Studios and A24 are developing a film adaptation of Michael Lewis' book, 'Going Infinite: The Rise and Fall of a New Tycoon', which chronicles the rise and fall of former FTX CEO Sam Bankman-Fried. The book, released on the first day of Bankman-Fried's criminal trial in October 2023, has faced criticism for allegedly downplaying the impact of his actions on investors who lost access to billions of dollars. Lena Dunham is reportedly writing the script for the film, already in early development. The story gained notoriety after FTX filed for bankruptcy in November 2022, leading to charges of fraud against several executives. Three of the five individuals indicted have already served prison time, but the investigation and public interest continue to grow, especially regarding Bankman-Fried's effective altruism and its implications on his misuse of funds.
