Avi Eisenberg, convicted of fraud and market manipulation concerning the Mango Markets decentralized exchange, will have his sentencing delayed to April 10, 2025. This decision was made by Judge Arun Subramanian in the US District Court for the Southern District of New York, following a request from Eisenberg's legal team due to the complexity of the case. Originally set for December 12, 2024, the hearing was postponed after a conviction in April 2024. Eisenberg exploited Mango Markets in October 2022, draining over $100 million before returning approximately $67 million, while still retaining more than $40 million. Arrested in December 2022, he has been in custody for nearly two years and could face a maximum of 20 years in prison. Additionally, after his sentencing, he may confront civil actions from the SEC and CFTC, which have been on hold pending the outcome of his criminal case.
