Maker's 'botched' rebrand hasn't deterred Framework
Framework Ventures co-founder Vance Spencer commented positively on Maker's Sky rebrand, arguing that brand equity relates to the value of redenomination, akin to practices in the stock market. Despite criticism of the rebrand and limited exchange listings for SKUs, Spencer believes it’s premature to judge its success, especially with MKR experiencing price increases. He noted that confusion remains, but anticipated that, with greater retail participation, a clearer assessment could emerge. Spencer emphasized that, if Wall Street and retail investors engage with the brand and its fundamentals, the rebrand may lead to a fresh narrative for the project and a clean slate for token assessments. Despite perceptions of a botched execution, Framework plans to maintain a long-term investment perspective in Maker, seeing growth in fundamentals as essential for future market dynamics.
