MetalCore, a mech shooter game, is shifting from Ethereum's Immutable zkEVM to Solana in November, coinciding with the launch of its second season. Studio 369 made this decision due to Solana's robust performance, which allows for high transaction volumes and boasts a 99.95% uptime. Matt Candler, CEO of Studio 369, cited successful games on Solana like Star Atlas and Aurory as examples of potential collaboration. Originally, MetalCore was set to launch on Ethereum's layer-2 gaming network but encountered delays, leading to team downsizing. The game launched in open beta in September and is aiming to enhance user experience by reducing the crypto knowledge needed to participate. Players will need to migrate their NFTs and tokens to Solana when the switch occurs. Further details regarding the migration will be provided as the date approaches.
