Michael Saylor, founder of MicroStrategy, has approached Microsoft with a proposal to leverage Bitcoin as a means to generate considerable profits for the company's shareholders. With Microsoft scheduled to discuss the potential of investing in Bitcoin at their upcoming annual shareholders meeting on December 9, Saylor reached out to CEO Satya Nadella via Twitter, asserting that he could guide Microsoft in generating a trillion dollars through a strategic investment in Bitcoin. Despite the board's recommendation against the proposal, Saylor highlighted the financial success of MicroStrategy's own Bitcoin investments, which have significantly increased in value since their initiation in 2020. He encourages Microsoft to embrace a similar strategy, mentioning that his company currently holds approximately 252,220 Bitcoin, valued around $16.8 billion, and expresses confidence in Bitcoin's role as a leading store of value.
