Michael Saylor, founder of MicroStrategy, has proposed that Microsoft could potentially generate a trillion dollars by investing in Bitcoin. This offer comes as Microsoft shareholders prepare to vote on a proposal advocating for the company to adopt Bitcoin as a treasury reserve asset. Saylor reached out to Microsoft's CEO Satya Nadella via Twitter, suggesting that his own experience and strategy in Bitcoin investments could help Microsoft capitalize on this opportunity. Since 2020, MicroStrategy has heavily invested in Bitcoin, currently holding 252,220 BTC valued at $16.8 billion. While Saylor encourages the move, Microsoft’s board has recommended shareholders reject the proposal, insisting against investing in Bitcoin. The shareholders meeting is scheduled for December 9, where various items, including the Bitcoin investment proposal, will be on the agenda. Saylor's advocacy for Bitcoin positions it as 'digital gold,' underlining his belief in Bitcoin's long-term value.
