MicroStrategy has announced the acquisition of 11,000 BTC, marking its largest purchase in 2025 and the third in January. The purchase was completed between January 13 and January 20, just before Trump's inauguration, costing the company $1.1 billion at an average price of approximately $101,191 per BTC. The acquisition was funded through proceeds from a convertible notes sales agreement, continuing MicroStrategy's strategy of investing in Bitcoin. Following this transaction, the firm now holds 461,000 BTC, acquired for a total of $29.3 billion at an average price of $63,610 per BTC. This buy brings the total BTC purchased by MicroStrategy in 2025 to 14,600, yielding a year-to-date return of 1.69%.
