The Nillion network has secured $25 million in a funding round aimed at enhancing its decentralized privacy platform, which includes an optional blockchain component. This funding round is the second for Nillion this year, bringing its total raised to over $50 million since its establishment three years ago. Leading the investment was Hack VC, along with support from venture capitalists like Distributed Global and Hashkey, and notable figures from the crypto industry. Nillion has introduced the world's first offchain Blind Computer, utilized by over 40 builders on its ecosystem hosted on Cosmos. The platform targets privacy-sensitive needs such as secure data storage and encrypted trading solutions, leveraging advanced technologies like secure multi-party computation (MPC) and homomorphic encryption. Co-founder Lukas Bruell highlighted the innovation of a 'private cloud environment' that allows computations without exposing underlying data, setting Nillion apart in the privacy solution landscape.
