Nintendo Switch 2 Officially Revealed—Here's What We Know So Far
Nintendo has confirmed the release of the Nintendo Switch 2 in 2025, unveiling a teaser trailer that hints at a new Mario Kart game. Key details from this reveal show that the Switch 2 will feature larger screens and redesigned Joy-Con controllers, which now come in an all-black design with colored accents. The button layout on the Joy-Cons has been adjusted to prevent previous comfort issues, and there is an indication of a new sensor that may allow the Joy-Con to be used on flat surfaces like a mouse. An enhanced kickstand has also been promised. In terms of compatibility, the Switch 2 will support original Switch games, though not all titles may be fully compatible. Further information, including technical specifications and new game announcements, is expected during a presentation scheduled for April 2, along with public demos in select cities.
