Peanut Pet Owner Launches New Token and Threatens Lawsuit
Mark Longo, the owner of Peanut the squirrel, which was euthanized earlier this month, has launched a new token called Justice for Pnut and Fred (JUSTICE) on the Solana blockchain. This move comes less than a month after his pets, including Fred the raccoon, were involved in a controversial incident that led to public outrage after New York State officials seized them, citing wildlife laws. After the seizure, both pets were euthanized, sparking a political firestorm with implications in the upcoming U.S. presidential election. Longo's new token has quickly gained traction, boasting a market cap of over $53.8 million and more than 14,000 holders. Alongside his token launch, Longo has threatened legal action against those profiting from his personal tragedy. The event has drawn the attention of notable figures, including Vice President-elect JD Vance and Elon Musk, both of whom criticized the government's actions.
