On November 12, the incident caused a notable drop in the token's price, leading to a large sell-off. The victim, a known investor under the pseudonym 'Still in the Game', alerted the community about the attack, which compromised one of their wallets after clicking on a malicious Zoom call invite. Investigations revealed that the phishing site installed malware that allowed the hacker to gather funds from multiple wallets. The thief stole 95.27 million GIGA tokens, equivalent to $6.09 million, and converted them into Solana and stablecoins. The investor has sought assistance from the FBI and is optimistic about recovering the lost funds in the current bullish market, expressing confidence in recuperating their losses.
