Wyler announced her departure on LinkedIn, expressing pride in her accomplishments but indicating the transition was bittersweet. Users noted the deletion of recent comments from Wyler's Reddit account, which contributed to speculation that her exit might signal a potential discontinuation of the avatar program. Reddit Collectible Avatars are unique NFTs stored on the Polygon blockchain and come with perks for users. However, after an initial sales boom, monthly sales volumes have dwindled to around $100,000. Wyler, who joined in June 2024, indicated that she had made positive changes to the program, which was struggling post a significant sales peak in late 2022. She described her departure as part of the natural evolution within social media, expressing confidence that Reddit would continue to cater positively to its community. Reddit has not commented on her exit or its implications for the avatar program.
