Sam Altman, CEO of OpenAI, announced that the first artificial intelligence agents could enter the workforce in 2025 as the company approaches the development of artificial general intelligence (AGI). In a recent blog post, Altman expressed confidence in OpenAI's ability to build AGI as traditionally understood. AI agents, which are capable of autonomous decision-making and complex goal execution, are anticipated to significantly impact the productivity of companies. Nvidia's CEO Jensen Huang noted the burgeoning enterprise adoption of agentic AI as a key trend. Altman emphasized that these advancements could lead to superintelligence, enhancing scientific discovery and overall prosperity. The progress in AI technology is seen as pivotal, with the previous introduction of tools like ChatGPT marking a tipping point in the AI revolution, suggesting that more benefits will emerge soon. Dario Amodei, CEO of Anthropic, also indicated that human-level AI might be realized as early as 2026.
