A savvy trader achieved a staggering 2,100-fold return on investment by trading a fraudulent memecoin called Gen Z Quant (QUANT). Within just three hours, the trader turned an initial investment of 2 Solana tokens (approximately $460) into nearly $1 million in profit, as reported by Lookonchain. The trader bought 18.89 million QUANT tokens and sold a portion for 116 SOL, retaining about 15.18 million QUANT, which at that time was valued at around $962,000. Despite QUANT being created through a dubious process on Solana’s memecoin launchpad, the community rallied around the token even after the developers executed a rug pull. The creator of the token gained notoriety by live-streaming the sale of his tokens, quickly profiting while leaving investors with losses. Despite the risks associated with memecoins, trading in this space continues to lure participants seeking quick returns.
