Stellar's Lobstr and Freighter wallets have integrated advanced security features from Blockaid, a blockchain security firm. This partnership aims to enhance real-time threat monitoring and rapid response capabilities for Stellar users. Blockaid's technology functions like antivirus software for Web3 applications, alerting users of dangerous transactions, decentralized applications (DApps), or malicious tokens. Blockaid's CEO stated that the firm has scanned over 4.5 billion transactions and prevented more than 100 million attacks, safeguarding potential losses exceeding $4 billion. Stellar is a decentralized open-source platform known for its efficiency and use of the Federated Byzantine Agreement (FBA) protocol. As of October 16, 2024, its primary token, XLM, has a market capitalization of $2.8 billion, positioning it as an efficient alternative to other blockchain platforms like Bitcoin.
