Sui has established a new hub in Dubai, marking the first in a series aimed at aiding blockchain developers and entrepreneurs. Kostas Chalkias, co-founder of Mysten Labs, emphasized the goal to rapidly create blockchain solutions by hosting hackathons and development sessions directly in Dubai. The hub, developed in partnership with Ghaf Group, aims to respond to government needs for blockchain solutions efficiently, allowing projects to be conceptualized and developed on the spot. This initiative is pivotal for enhancing the region's digital capabilities, with ambitions to host monthly hackathons that will engage local talent. Sui, built by former Meta employees, has been gaining traction in the blockchain space, outperforming competitors like Cardano and Near in total value locked. Chalkias expressed strong intent for Sui to become a central player in blockchain solution engineering within the UAE.
