Sui Network, a relatively new blockchain, experienced a two-hour outage on November 21, 2024, caused by a bug in its transaction scheduling logic, which led to the failure of its validator network. The issue has since been resolved. Several cryptocurrency exchanges, including Upbit, temporarily suspended SUI transactions during the downtime. Blockchain outages can be attributed to various causes, including technical errors like scheduling bugs and issues with nodes that prevent synchronization. Following the downtime, SUI tokens rebounded after previously dropping nearly 7%.
