Tesla Cybertrucks Provide Free Wi-Fi to Los Angeles After Wildfires
In response to recent devastating wildfires in Los Angeles, Tesla CEO Elon Musk announced that a fleet of Cybertrucks equipped with Starlink terminals is being deployed to provide mobile Wi-Fi hotspots in affected areas. This initiative aims to assist communities in recovering from the impact of the fires that ravaged thousands of acres in Southern California, especially in Pacific Palisades and Altadena. With local phone lines down, the Cybertrucks will serve as mobile base stations to ensure internet connectivity. Musk emphasized that the Cybertrucks will be strategically positioned to enhance connectivity in the hardest-hit regions. He also encouraged other Cybertruck owners to contribute by providing Wi-Fi in the devastated areas. Additionally, Tesla plans to support emergency services and recovery efforts with Superchargers, Megapack Chargers, and Mobile Powerwall Units. The initiative builds on Musk's previous efforts to mobilize resources during natural disasters, showcasing Tesla's commitment to community support during crises.
