The Graph has unveiled the GRC-20 standard, enhancing how Web3 data is structured, shared, and connected across decentralized applications. This new standard shifts focus from subgraphs to knowledge graphs, improving search capabilities for developers. The GRC-20 standard is set to replace the Resource Description Framework (RDF), deemed insufficient for Web3, by providing a common language for knowledge and supporting elements such as Spaces, Entities, Relations, and Types, defined by developers. The Graph's launch in 2018 aimed to simplify the creation of decentralized applications (DApps) and allows users to index over 70 blockchains. Tools to assist with the GRC-20 standard’s implementation will be released soon, and developer feedback on the proposal is welcomed until its finalization.
