Turning Tesla cameras into data engines
NATIX Network has developed a device called VX360 that turns Tesla's existing camera system into a 360° dashcam, allowing drivers to monetize collected data while maintaining privacy. The VX360 captures real-world driving scenarios to help train autonomous vehicle AI, overcoming limitations of synthetic data. It processes and anonymizes footage using built-in AI to blur personally identifiable information, ensuring compliance with privacy regulations. Vehicle owners can access their recordings for navigation or insurance claims and are rewarded for sharing data with tokens or other incentives. NATIX is initially targeting select cities and plans to expand compatibility with more car brands. The CEO notes a shift towards cars as platforms for data sharing, similar to the evolution seen with smartphones.
