Uniswap and Across have announced a collaboration to facilitate permissionless cross-chain swaps. The partnership addresses the challenges users face when trading across different blockchains, particularly in managing asset bridging manually. By integrating Across’s intent-based bridging, traders can now seamlessly perform cross-chain swaps within the Uniswap platform. Across Protocol, developed by Risk Labs, has successfully bridged $12.7 billion in total volume, with $20-40 million in daily trades recently. The implementation supports nine EVM chains, including Ethereum and Polygon, allowing for a variety of tokens, notably stablecoins and native assets. Together, Uniswap and Across have created the ERC-7683 token standard aimed at simplifying cross-chain transactions for DEXs and bridging solutions. This standard will play a crucial role in enhancing Uniswap’s cross-chain swap capabilities.
