Uniswap unveils $15.5M core contracts bug bounty ahead of v4 launch
Uniswap Labs has launched what it claims is the largest bug bounty in history, amounting to $15.5 million, in preparation for the Uniswap v4 release. The bounty program offers payouts from $2,000 up to the full amount for identifying critical vulnerabilities in the Uniswap v4 core contracts code. To receive the maximum payout, bounty hunters must find unique vulnerabilities leading to code changes. Uniswap previously held a $2.35 million security competition with over 500 researchers participating; however, no critical vulnerabilities were found. The $15.5 million initiative is described as an extra measure to ensure the security of v4. Vulnerabilities categorized as critical could earn up to $15 million, while high-risk issues might yield up to $1 million, and medium-risk vulnerabilities could result in payouts of $100,000. The program extends beyond core contracts to include other contracts, websites, back-end codes, and Uniswap v4 wallet codes.
