Vietnam has unveiled its National Blockchain Strategy on October 23, detailing key objectives to advance the country’s blockchain capabilities. The strategy prioritizes the development of blockchain technology, establishing legal frameworks, and fostering innovation, positioning Vietnam as a leader in the Fourth Industrial Revolution. Key actions include enhancing the legal environment, developing necessary infrastructure, cultivating human resources, promoting blockchain applications, and encouraging international collaboration. The government plans to create 20 blockchain brands and establish three testing centers in major cities to enhance its blockchain ecosystem. Additionally, the strategy emphasizes the legal recognition of digital assets to align with international standards, thus strengthening Vietnam’s blockchain industry while addressing issues like money laundering and terrorist financing.
