The Hamster Kombat team, behind the viral Telegram clicker game, recently announced that only 43% of its users will qualify for the highly anticipated season one airdrop. Out of the 100 billion Hamster Kombat (HMSTR) tokens, 60 billion will be distributed to eligible players. Despite the game’s massive user base of over 300 million, only 131 million users are set to receive the airdrop on September 26, 2024. The team revealed that 2.3 million users were banned for cheating, reducing the number of eligible participants.

Of the 60 billion tokens, 88.75% will be available for immediate claim, while the remaining 11.25% will be vested for release 10 months after HMSTR is listed on exchanges. This means around 53.25 billion tokens will be airdropped instantly, with 6.75 billion held for future distribution.

The team also noted that the remaining 15% of the total token supply will be distributed during season two, further building excitement around the project.

Hamster Kombat's rapid growth, boasting 239 million users in just 81 days, has caught the attention of the Web3 community. The game’s potential to onboard millions of crypto users has been highlighted by Telegram founder Pavel Durov, positioning it as a significant player in the future of Web3.

In addition to declining early investments from venture capital firms, the Hamster Kombat team emphasized that the value of HMSTR tokens will be driven purely by market demand, supply, and community interest, without extra sell pressure.
